I'm fighting a losing battle
That I started long ago
You'd think I'd given up by now
But my dagger still perseveres
My song isn't over
Yet my shadow is fading
I'm becoming jaded
And I fear that I'll never be sober
Then I remember
That my roots are still thriving
I'm not simply surviving
I'm learning and finding
The solutions to my problems
The end of a battle
Never truly lost
Never actually won

This is a poem that I wrote for school. I thought it was interesting and sense I rewrote it thrice I figured It wouldn't hurt to post it. I just hope the message is understood.
