You called me a sl**
You called me a wh***
Because of the mass that was my belly
But you were wrong
I was a vessel
Bearing the greatest gift
In human form

He has your eyes
All stone grey and stormy blue
And he has your focus
You determination
To get so far ahead of himself
He is already trying to roll over
At barely two weeks old

He has your mouth
All softness and skin
And the sounds he emits
Make me tremble within
But you...
You're the fool
Abandoning what you helped create
Helped me to create

But I guess that that's okay
Because he is mine now
My own salvation
A cure to this feeling of being
alone
But you're crazy if you're thinking
That I can part with him
He bears my scent
My flesh and blood
And if you want no part of that
Well...
I'm not going to stop you

I may be a wretch
A liar
And a b****
All wrapped up into one bitter
sweet package
But now I'm something else
I bloomed into a flower of pain
And was cut open by the people
I have feared the most
But you know what?
It was worth it
That first moment that I saw his
face

So you're the fool
Always thinking you pulled on up on
me
But in the end,
It's you that lost
Lost the chance to truly be the one
thing you always longed for
A loving, caring father
And I think that that's just sick

So the next time you claim to be
better than me
And stand on some mighty stool
Look down from that jagged bunch of
sticks
And see all that you left below
In a way, you're worse than your
father
At least he never left YOU behind.

Thanks. I wanted to portray a message through my poem that screamed about the injustice of single teenage motherhood but more about how the.men of this day and age.seem to find themselves exempt of responsibilities thatvthey themselves helped to create.

That was very sad. But good, super powerful poem.
