I Await the Day
I await the day
when my knees will completely forget their function,
when my legs will become threshed stalks of wheat,
when my pelvis will not comprehend the warmth therein,
when my stomach will somersault with butterflies leaving their cocoons,
when my chest will implode from the exertion of my heart manufacturing blood for my paling body several miles a minute,
when my throat will become a desert sand dune closed up with no words,
when the hairs on the back of my neck will stand poised and at attention waiting for a command to put them at ease,
when my face and ears will blaze crimson like they love to do when my insides refuse to be remain there,
when my head becomes dizzy and woozy, overrun with bursts of delicious thoughts, boggled by the reality of it all…
when I fall in love with you.
