The Wind
It's funny
Listening to
Your words
Cracked
And open too wide
So everyone
Can see inside
Their hollow bowels
Cry
I laugh
to myself
and meanwhile
out loud
to the broken
thinking
you try to make
heard
and then
drops off weeping
slip out
just when I’m not careful
with how hard I laugh.
Because
The broken words
You slit wide open
Windy
Don’t fit together right
Like you mean for them to.
So they’re never
Any
Thing
At all.
I’ve never seen
Such empty wind blow
In broken letters
Lined up crooked.
It's funny
Because it’s missing
Just like
I can laugh
Because
I don’t miss your words filled
I can’t miss what’s only been a long dream
Drowsy.
I can laugh because finally
My tears are splintered
Empty
Because finally,
Finally,
Your wind blows only
For you.
