"An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind."
~Mahatma Gandhi

Tall, dark pines rise up around me
Like submarines emerging above the water
Dark clouds cross the moon
Shadows appear and disappear in the trees

A big gust of wind blows like a mad tornado
Two bright yellow eyes
Turn towards me
Through the blinding blackness
I blink
Two eyes turn into ten

My hands fly up to my face
My jaw drops
I turn
And run
Branches scratch my arms
I pass the black shapes of the trees
Pebbles fly around my feet
I trip and fall...

I wake up
