Daddy's Girl
A sole so genuine
A heart that shines for me
The look in his eyes is enough conviction
And through the years I continue to see
Just how close a hero can be to me
To this moment, just his smile can make my day
They say a daddy’s little girl is his princess,
And he has never failed to shine in armor when my knight didn’t come
From catch in the yard to signing every birthday card
Through the thick he has stayed
I respect him more than he knows
Making sure that no end is frayed
In my book he is way past the pros
He is my all star and number one in every game
No ordinary day ever the same
When he is the one to call the shot.
Regardless, he has no idea how much I’ve been taught
Don’t worry daddy I’ll always be here
No matter how far, my heart is always near
And I will always be Daddy’s Little Girl
