A time for changechange
Enlisted many years ago
Who can remember how many
in these days of dark
The light hardly hits us
we lurk all around
hoping noons finds
we hide in every corner
The cries have stopped
For the men that we lose
from fever, to losing their bodies
death by another or
Death by themselves
This is no game anymore
every side has lost their fight
and their reason for it
I see men like me with us
And men we controlled long ago
By my side
have we learned?
Or lost too many lives?
Noons remembers a time without pain
children are born into the darkness
No freedom or safety
If only, only you saw
what I have seen
these days would stop
They would see who they are really fight
Who really needs to open their eyes
Once in my early days
of enlistment
I saw the truth
of this war
And every war
The good and the bad
With my captain by my side
and musket in hand
we sent off yo search
For safe land
Later on we found a farm
dead from weather
The windows were cracked
It had withered doors
I walked toward this little farm
Only yo find Boone has left
A old man looked up at me
he had no life
No fear
he held a pile of cloth in one hand
and a dagger in the other
I held my barrel at the man
He was not scared
he did not blink
Did he not care?
He held his dagger
straight above the cloth
His feelings looked lost
I shout at him
But this time I heard a cry
Not from the man but from the cloth
The little old man
who lost his feeling
Stabbed his dagger into the cloth
the light white became a devil red
"Who are these people in this world? Is life no sacred?!"
those were the mans last words
Before I shot
He fell
Now in a pile of red life
I saw that me
and this murderous man
Are the same person
