Locked in a transparent container,
I am but a bird on display.
My wings have been clipped,
And I can’t see straight.
From abuse and mishandling,
I can’t fly out,
I’ve struggled and tried,
But as it happened here tonight…
My pleads were heard and answered.
That little birdy (me!) had died.
