Time is Spinning
The clock keeps tick –
 tick-
 ticking…

 Death’s breathing down my neck.
 The wait is torturing me;
 anticipation’s killing me,
 murdering me from the inside out.

 The clock keeps tick –
 tick-
 ticking…

 Time’s spinning,
 the vortex’s forming-
 “Just fall into me,
 endlessly,”
 says the black hole as he speaks to me.
 Ha ‘speaks’,
 more like screams incessantly;
 tormenting-
 tempting me.

 The clock keeps tick –
 tick-
 ticking…

 The ticking continues,
 almost endlessly.
 Until I begin to see,
 this is not where I need to be:
 waiting for fate
 instead of seeking destiny.

 The tempting relives;
 the black hole recedes.
 Now I can just continue being me,
 living free,
 seeking destiny,
 looking for peace.
