Broken Butterfly Wings
You started out with a dream
That you were sure you would do,
But you were to scared to walk alone
And not ready to leave all you'd known.
People gave all sorts of opinions
But none ever answered any of your questions,
And once there you what you would do you didn't even know
You were just so ready to go.
You walked around with this weighing you down
And even though you put on a fake smile people still saw your frown.
You felt bad cause people tip-toed around you-
The only reason was they didn't want to hurt you in what they would say or do.
So you left that dream in the past
Because you felt you failed and fell face down in the dust,
You tried pushing you feelings aside
And now you feel unsuccessful but at least you tried.
Your heart feels so heavy
Knowing you'll never be able to dance freely,
Your life feels broken and useless-like it's shattering
Just like a pair of broken butterfly wings.
