Saved by the Music
Verse 1:
Music: you say it isn’t for you
Save for the quiet moments when
No one is around to witness
To give you this solitude is the greatest gift
But the thing is..it’s something that ought to be shared..
Though you wouldn’t dare raise your voice
For fear it isn’t beautiful..well let me tell you something
Chorus:
You put the rhythm in my head
Melodies running wild, spreading happiness
You put a smile on my face
The little things you do, all in the everyday
You’ll just never know
That the little things are what I love the most
And that I’m selfish
Once I’ve got hold of a thing too good to lose
You know I’ll never let go
Verse 2:
I may be traveling far away, so fast
But in reality, I’m not going anywhere
The miles don’t matter
And what I’m after, is still buried deep in my heart
While I’m carrying out my dreams
To you my thoughts always go back, it seems
Best friends don’t tab distance
State lines don’t make a difference
Chorus:
Bridge:
You stepped into my life
At what seemed like the perfect time
You say that I saved you
Not the other way around
But I think that’s your only lie
Chorus:
Ending:
The music plays on and on
The lyrics barely matter
Cause it’s all just the same song
And I knew the words all along
