Labyrinth
My childhood warned me of age,

 But now I move through this labyrinth

 That ushers the days of discontent.

 I have this problem to solve,

 And this present to escape

 Only leaving me with this future to suffer.

 Till the journey ends;

  I’ll feed off flashbacks with hopeful eyes

 Like the summer heat that was never noticed

 Or the footprints that wandered through the blizzard’s remnants.

 I’ll continue to ponder that vacation I only believed I took

 A lion, I am, journeying to somewhere

 With a lost life that is roaring inside me.

 This repetition of imagining leads me to Nowhere;

 A place where futures are lost

 And the past is an illusion.

 How will I ever escape
