Smoke
I feel your eyes,
Watching my every move.
I hear your whispers,
So disgustingly sweet.
I see what I do to you,
And I like it.
I like feeling wanted.
I like hearing my name,
In the way you call it out.
But I don’t like you,
Not like that.
I care only for the chase,
Like a tigress after her prey.
When I have you,
I don’t know what to do.
So I toss you aside,
Like a piece of rotten meat.
I’m sorry.
I don’t mean to treat you this way.
I wish I could fulfill the unrequited love,
But I can’t.
I feel no more attraction.
Like a fire burned out,
Only to leave a puff of smoke in its wake.
