We are expected to act older than we appear
We are denied
We are spoken to unfairly
We seem to always be wrong
We argue when we know we’re right
We are punished for speaking our mind
Adults look at us like aliens
As if they once weren’t one of us
We are looked at like we don’t know much
But we are your future in the making
We have talent
We have the perseverance
We the mistreated teenagers
