I want to explore the world with you
come with me, let's run away
Boston, New Orleans, Atlanta
a new city every day
I don't have any money saved
but at least you have a car
let's drive west till we're out of gas
though that might not get us far
at least we'd be away from here
a new place would feel terrific
if we made it far enough
I'd love to see the Pacific
ocean, for the first time
I'd love to dive right in
swim with no clothes on
and sleep with the sand on our skin
so come on along, let's hop in your car
and let's never look back again

The author's comments:
This poem was inspired by a conversation i had with a friend about running away and traveling the country together. It's pretty self explanatory I think.
