"My teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said happy. She said I didn't understand the assignment. I said she didn't understand life."- John Lennon

You've fallen near the prickly thorns.
Gone out in thunderstorms.
The ones that happen to love you,
have not a single clue,
of the lies you've said when lying,
in your never-ending pit trying,
clawing with black nails crying,
it will never be done again.
But you're voice is unheard,
your love ones have blurred.
Now you lie in the pits,
only talking to a silent bird.
But it will fly, so very high,
when the well is dry.
Help him find his way,
so he can see the ray,
so he can see the day.

The author's comments:
Talks about how laying down and lying to someone are similar in that laying down is a lazy activity and so is lying in that you want the easy way out of things.
