Human Courting
As shallow as a their interest
So pretty and perfect, trim and tanned.
They strut around in colorful mating colors
Painted faces and talons on the back of the heel
Hair long and hard as a conch shell
They prowl with predatory eyes
Males beware this temptress’s glare
For if you happen to catch her eye you are hers
Beware those in her way as they are cleaved in half
Run, run far and near, a predator is here,
Stalking her unsuspecting prey
Waiting to pounce.
Movements so smooth she glides
Shoulders move with her hips, swaying ever so slightly.
Her seductive walk, a courting ritual
So common no one notices
As they slip out
The door.
