"You fail only if you stop writing."

Your arms are warm, wrapped around my waist,
Goosebumps on my skin, as you hold me tight.
We sway to the music, side to side,
We laugh and talk, not a care in the world.

Cuddled in a ball, hands intertwined,
You pulling me closer, as I start to shiver.
Hiding my face in your shoulder, to hide my embarrassment,
But over the sound of the music, it doesn't matter.

When my eyes drift off to sleep, I lean against your chest,
And listen to your heart beat, loud in my ear.
Your breathing slow, as your eyes close,
And the warmth of your body against mine.

I feel so safe, in your embrace,
I feel so alive, with you breathing in my ear.
And as you lean your head on mine,
I can feel your stubble, rough against my skin.

Your fingers stroke mine, tickling my insides,
And as your arms squeeze tighter, my butterflies come back.
Only to slowly fly away, as I find comfort in your presence,
And nudge you playfully, so you know I'm still there.

Thinking of you so close to me,
Makes sleep impossible, so I lay awake.
Hoping you’ll never have to leave my side,
Because theres no where else I’d rather be.

Then with the one who can make me nervous,
By simply whispering my name.

Looking in your eyes, I feel nothing,
No emotion I could ever describe.
As it bubbles over, a rush of feeling,
All I can think is how I don't want it to end.
And I have a smile plastered to my face,
Along with a growing warmth deep inside me.

But as soon as you came, you had to go,
And the more time that passes, the lonelier I feel.
