Taunted and shattered
Causing more pain
Becoming more battered
Unknowingly bringing herself shame
Progressing to tattered and wiser
Always taking the blame
Believing she’s getting fatter
Crying constantly in the rain
But becoming smaller and smaller
Trying to find her true name
Then there came another
She’d been through it
She took me under her cover
Retrieving me from the pit
Progressively now becoming a lover.
