Aisle Four
I walked into a hardware
Store- It smelled of
Wood and metal
And I heard my
Footsteps echo
From tile floors
To grey walls
-Barriers-
I made a path
To aisle four
Where silver and
Copper keys hung
Some swung back
And forth
My favorite was
Priced at
$5.45
Perhaps these sharp,
Ridged pieces
Of metal
Could be what
Unlocks the chaotic
Mess inside my head
And chest...
Unfolding problems
Into solutions
All in a second
Or ten
Depending on the lock
But-
Life is never
All that simple
So I continued
Down to aisle
Five
