In The Distance

In the distance I see a pair of lovers
Hand in hand
Heart to heart
They are young
They are beautiful
The weather is bad yet they smile
They smile because they are happy
They smile because they have love
In the distance on that picture frame
I see a love that should have lasted
I see people who could have made it
I see people who made mistakes
I see people that were wreckless
I see two young people who saw the end
All around me we are all crying
Funerals are not meant for the young
In the distance the lovers are being buried
