What scares me
What I fear, the most about this place:
Not the teens that too quickly become adults
Not the hasty that thoroughly make faults
Not the perfectionists that burn every detail out of every day
Not the flamers that improvise both ways
Not the musicians that speak with notes
Not the leaders that dominate with votes
Not the bullies that scheme with slime
Not the poets that race with rhyme
Not the runners that dope on the track
Not the junkies that love on smack
Not the hippies that dive under trees
Not the swimmers that hide in the sea
Not the cowards that sing “flee”
Not the choir members that paint lyrics in glee
But the artists: because they can see
what anyone can be.
This is what scares me.
