The Way It Goes

Dew clamps tightly
Iron grips the leaves.

Hearts are pure
Until they are crowded
With hate.

Stars blink
And flashlights light the sky.

The sun smiles
Upon the clouds

And shadows cover
The ground.

Love floods
An angry heart

And rewrites
All the wrongs.

And changes the world.
Saves a tree,
Saves a life,
Saves a heart.
