"Procrastination is the grave in which oppertunity is buried" -i don't know who this by

1.
I woke up in darkness, surrounded by silence.
2.
The dancing girl with dark hair and blue eyes.
3.
The boy with blond curls and gray eyes.
4.
Walking down the street
5.
starin' at the sky

6.
The snow exploded into white rose petals.
7.
The sun blossomed into a blood-red rose,
8.
And rain poured from the cloudless sky
9.
We can dance until we die

10.
Deep in the meadow, under the willow.
11.
A bed of grass, a soft green pillow.
12.
Lay down your head, and close your eyes.
13.
And when they open, the sun will rise.

14.
I’m surrounded by tulips-
15.
Hundreds of thousands of tulips.
16.
All red.
17.
Do I have to fall asleep with roses in my hand?

18.
She heard the trumpets from the military band
19.
And the flowers fell out of her hands
20.
Pleasure’s real, or is it fantasy?

21.
Watching the colors as they run.
22.
Figures you mold like the sun
23.
They live perfectly deaf and invulnerable.

24.
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
25.
Who are you, stranger
26.
You save my life and disappear
27.
Dreaming wide awake

28.
Dreaming of screaming
29.
Someone kick me out of my mind
30.
These thoughts I can’t deny
31.
Can’t find a puzzle to fit into piece apart me
32.
Dangle devils in a bottle
33.
Every time the world moves on, I fall back a little

34.
Standing on a balcony in summer air
35.
See the lights, the party, the ball gowns
36.
I was crying on the staircase
37.
A dry ocean
38.
A desert of emotion

39.
Mortal hearts and mortal fears
40.
Something the can share
41.
I untie him like a sparrow
42.
Waiting for the truth to strangle me in my sleep

43.
At night when the stars light up my room,
44.
I slip away into another world

45.
Information overload
46.
Situation lost control
47.
It’s crazy what you see if you’re not really looking

48.
Moments bleed together, no span to time
49.
Fate decides, until challenged by the fated
50.
Desperate, relentless
51.
Condemned, empowered

52.
If I could find a place to run away
53.
Hidden safely
54.
I would be there today
55.
The darkest daylight finds me here
56.
Those who wait are always watching

57.
Loneliness is holding the one you love
58.
Knowing you might never hold him again
59.
Even lost in darkness
60.
My heart will find you

61.
Open your eyes and see
62.
Illuminate the darkness
63.
My tides, my moon
64.
My salvation, my doom

65.
I held my face up and let the rain wash away the soot
66.
A perfect yellow lemon
67.
Surrounded by ash
68.
First green is gold
69.
But nothing green can stay
70.
Don’t try, nothing green can stay

71.
I could hear the sound
72.
But I could not understand the words
73.
And I realized that sound was me
74.
Breaking.

75.
Running to stand still
76.
I’m already alone
77.
He who chooses the beginning of the road
78.
Chooses the place it leads to

79.
When you look up
80.
Do you see the blue sky of what might be
81.
Or the darkness of what will never be
82.
Do you see me?

83.
Eyes where dark or light appears
84.
Green for yes,
85.
Gold for no
86.
Seventeen the last to know

87.
The fire, the wind, the rain, the crypt
88.
The me who is not me, the me who would kill
89.
Two bodies, the book the ring
90.
Amma’s charm, the moon
91.
Seventeen the last to know

92.
Nobody hears me, but just Nobody cares
93.
Nobody fears me but Nobody just stares
94.
No Nobody knows nothing
95.
All that remains are remains

96.
Darkness hides and I think I can hold her
97.
Smother her in the palm of my hand
98.
But when I look, my hands are empty
99.
Quiet as her fingers fold around me
100.
How do you escape from yourself?

The author's comments:
This was a school assignment, and we were supposed to take quotes from books and songs, so at the bottom of the poem is the citations/credit to the people who actually wrote these words. I just took some and combined them in a new way.
