A minor problem MAG
Just as a flower can never blossom
When its roots are pulled,
Too soon for yesterday's rain
To be dried from the soil
I cannot foster hope
Crowded in a dark corner
Of this surrogate house.
Just as a mockingbird can never sing
Beautiful melodies
When all it knows are the
Harsh clangs of chaos,
My voice is forever silenced
By each ward until
The eighteenth candle burns.
Just as a pond can never find stillness
When nature's musings
Tear through its sheath,
Shatter its composure,
I cannot find comfort
When bits of me
Are scattered across the map.
