A pair of shoes left outside;
Together in the sun
Together in the rain
Together in the snow
Together in the grass
Together in the flowers
Together in the dirt
Together when they break
and still together in the trash;
Because a shoe without its pair,
well, it's just not a shoe at all.

I was riding the bus to school, trying to stay awake, and as I began to daydream, these words materialized in my head.
