Today I went swimming in your eyeball
through the sea of sticky marshmallow white

your tiny red veins ticked my legs like frisky seaweed

I took a walk through your iris
a vast landscape
like an open field, freshly rained on
with patches of sticky mud

your iris
the color of the bark on a tree in a silent forest,
the color of warm wood in a crackling fire,
the color of a chocolate square slowly melting in my palm,

I stomp my feet through your precious iris
I scoop handfuls of clay-mud color
and toss the golden brown pieces everywhere

I drag my feet through your muddy iris
I leave my muddy footprint tracks in your eyeball

pacing, searching
intruding
