"With brave wings, she flies"

Dark, loathsome, empty place.
How you torment me,
make me long for the hunger some beast
that feeds on the pain of humans,
so that I may free my inner sadness.
My heart longs for him,
but alas he feels not the same.
His hatred feeds the sadness welling in my barren soul.
Life is silent without his laugh,
life is colorless without his smile,
life is empty without his presence.
Why, oh hateful dungeon, must you kill me slowly?
Why, oh revolting prison, must you captivate my soul?
Why, the place I once loved, must you turn on me?
Love holds no meaning,
no importance,
no stature amongst the living
who have been shunned for bearing it.
A true bearing it is,
this love.
The weight of the world rides heavily in the heart,
something no one can overcome.
Once this poison has penetrated your being,
you are forever at its mercy.

I recently had a bad experience with a boy, and I felt an overwhelming sense of pain and hurt. What better way to release the tension than writing about it?
