Roller Skating
Gliding through the crowd,
 As graceful as a swan,
 Smiles bright as suns,
 Light up the darkened rink.

 Flashing lights
 Strain your eyes,
 Disco balls
 Twist and turn,
 Like miniature stars and suns.

 Skating side by side,
 And dancing to the beat,
 You start to lose control,
And just listen to your feet.

The music pumps through your veins,
And becomes a part of you.
You feel the music take wing,
And your soul begins to sing.

 Then the song ends
 And you feel empty inside,
 Like there’s a hole
 Where the music was.
 You’ll never be the same,
Until you start to skate again,
 And glide across the floor.
