As I open my eyes once again,
There’s violence that’s gonna lead to our corruption and death.
Money that’s gonna feed the greed
And lead us into a great depression.
Abandonment that leads the youngest into parenthood
Before adolescence hits them.
Blackmail that’s soon gonna need bail.
As I open my eyes here and now,
While at the same time, watch as I cry…
We’re being fed lie after lie.
The torment we seem to be suffering, need help!
But yet, there’s no one else to assist,
Cause the lie’s they’ve fed us keep them muted from the truth.
They are killing us off one by one,
And their faces fill with no remorse.
When will I wake up?
I shake, try to wake,
But no one eyes open up.
To see what I see…
To hear what I hear…
To live where I have always lived…
Is beyond the meaning of fear.
It’s what I have always experienced here.
