"But as in ethics, evil is a consequence of good, so in fact, out of joy is sorrow born. Either the memory of past bliss is the anguish of today, or the agonies which are have their origin in the ecstasies which might have been" - Edgar Allen Poe

Sweet agony,
So irate with the blossoming of love
The petals opening to create new life
A new wonder to this world
The petals grow old so quickly
For that rose was never meant to be
The thorns still lay about
Pricking anybody that comes near its shriveled body
Winter will help it decay

Sweet irony,
How love has never gown so loud
Sweeping through a head of mischief
The rose grows again in the spring
Its old life just a dreadful atrocity
The new awakens the senses around it
People fall in love and rebirth
Spring time rose will run its course

Sweet life
Roses flock the field
That one rose blossomed to many
Although seasons have passed
Winters were brutal
Winds were harsh
The rose still stands
With many others of its kind
The breeding ground for the future

This is a poem about finding the wrong person, hoping for the best and thinking all will work out, then suddenly it vanishes like a rose in the winter. After that rose is gone you go out to plant a new one and this one thrives and fills the field year after year and never fully goes away. Like, finding love and year after year it just grows stronger.
