A girl shouted to the universe, “I am important!”
The universe looked down at her
She understood nothing he said
And then he sent her away with a pat on her head
The universe waited, he knew she would return
Now a woman, she shouted, “Look at all I’ve done. Am I important now?”
She didn’t realize she had it all wrong
“Poor girl, when will you ever learn?”
The universe shook his head
She had been important all along
“You had nothing to prove,” he said
And then he sent her away with a pat on her head
