Darkness And Depression
My own darkness fills me with fright
I've fallen into endless night
To get out? Why bother, I can't do anything right
All through life, this world blights
As they say, reality bites
But my promise to you, my plight
From these feelings, I'll try to alight
But these dark feelings are so trite
The blackness pulls the rope around my neck so tight
To try to escape? The numbness is so easy, why fight?
Its been so long since my spirit felt light
It sinks like a kite
That isn't made quite right
So, with my light, I'll take flight
Until anything worth living is in sight
