There was a perfect dancer
sitting on a wall
Her toes were always pointed
Her neck was always tall
But because of all the pressure
And pressure can be rough
She lost all her self confidence
Thought she wasn't good enough
Her stomach became hollow
Her skin got stretched to tight
If you saw her now,
You would have a fright
She wanted to run away
She wanted to go and hide
But she already signed the contract
So the perfect dancer died

Very true. I like the message and the theme because they both resound with me but I thought that rather than helping the poem, the rhymes limited it somehow. I generally never rhyme because I find I get too bogged down finding words that fit, even though those words that fit don't actually work very well with the poem. Just my opinion :)
