It’s all right in front of you
But your remain, stand still
People reached out
You looked down, so we all left

You’re underwater
Impervious to sound and sight
But you can be so much
It was all right in front of you

Your feet remain still
But your wings are not broken
Use your eyes to stare, head to dream

You don't understand
See sometimes dreams come true

But now, now you’re all alone

I wrote this after my friends and I saw a bird on the sidewalk who wouldn't move or fly away no matter how hard we tried to move him from harm's way.
