The Insomniac

Twenty-two hours into the day,
Boredom consumes my body and soul
Instead of sweet, loving sleep.
Insomnia even slaps me in the face rudely
While I attempt to close my sleepy eyes.
Will sleep eventually win?
Or will insomnia conquer my night?
