Juvenile
He probably thought me shallow
holding hands on the shine,
how juvenile
This girl with her dreams
doesn't she know
the closer you get to death
the more you lose them
And as I pushed the door open
the heat hit me
I had denied myself so many times
so many instances
I had denied what I really was
A want to be
a could have been
But everyone else is the same
we're all connected by the things we aren't
because when he called me beautiful
he said it was out of boredom
and I know, and he knows
he wasn't bored.
