Mommy why do you cry?
Mommy why do you cry
Why do you shed these tears when no one can see
They slide down your beautiful cheeks in the middle of the night, when everyone is asleep
You choose to cry when not a single person is around
Do you not want to be comforted by your loved ones?
Mommy why do you cry so much?
Are your tears for him, your best friend?
Ever since that dreadful day, you haven’t been the same
A part of you has left the world along with him.
You are here on earth, on this world with us, but at the same time you are distant
No one can reach you, you come and go from reality
I’m so sorry mommy, this isn’t fair to you.
He was your best friend as were you his.
Please mommy, please tell me why you choose to shed tears that are like crystal
Mommy, will you tell me why you choose to wait ‘til late at night to shed tears that are tainted with pain?
