Broken Love
The first time I looked into your crystal blue eyes,
I knew that was the day that I’d love you until I died.
As we were heels over head,
I fell for the constant lies.
The heart I once had,
Is now dead and gone,
For you’ve torn it to shreds,
Shreds that can never be repaired.
Not with the strongest adhesive,
Nor the most delicate surgery.
People joke, people smile,
As do I, but my smile is filled with lies.
A realistic smile on my face is a mythological story
That still has not been told.
My hazel irises blur and cloud from the constant tears,
My heart beats slower and slower,
I bleed quicker and quicker,
As I close my eyes and say goodnight forever.
