"Don't only practice your art, but force your way into its secrets, for it and knowledge can raise men to the Divine." Ludwig van Beethoven

Oh when shall You come,
To take away the strife,
Of everyday life,
Which causes great despair,
We are awaiting for You to come,
But it has been so long!
How long shall we wait!
Our enemies forsake us!
We are moaning in sorrow!
We need our Savior to come back!
For without Him,
ALL is lost,
For without Him,
there is great despair.
- Inspired by Psalm 6

Psalm 6 NIV
O Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger,
or discipline me in your wrath.
Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am faint.
O Lord, heal me, for my bones are in agony.
My soul is in anguish.
How long, O Lord, how long?
Turn, O Lord, and deliver me;
save me because of your unfailing love.
No on can remember you when he is dead.
Who praises you in the grave?
I am worn out from groaning;
All night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.
My eyes grow weak with sorrow;
they fail because of all my foes.
Away from me, all you who do evil,
for the Lord has heard my weeping.
The Lord has heard my cry for mercy;
the Lord accepts my prayer.
All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed;
they will turn back in sudden disgrace.

I love it! This is like da best. Maybe because it's Bible inspired and the religion is like my life but I love it. This is a PTL poem (praise the Lord) :)

Hannabug..... I really like how you can put in the Bible in your work. I admire that! Now I really like this poem cause it has a good message. It shows how waiting is good. Pslams 6 is a good psalm. Great Job!!!!! Suggestion: why did you write a poem based off a Bible verse. Just curious

Well idk if I am devout... How can I explain this... I'm not devout in like the "strict" kinda way(atleast I hope not)... I am more spiritual and I look at it as like a relationship and not a religion....

Not going to lie, you should really expand on these. After reading 3 of your poems, I can tell you are probably very devout, and base your work on the Bible. The only thing you need to do is expand on them, and you'll be good.
