Starry Sea, Salty Sky
If the sky is the sea,
Turn it upside down,
And the rain from above
Shatters all around.
Every droplet would taste
Of the tears that we waste.
With the clouds from above
As the ocean’s waves,
We could splash all around
Every word we gave,
And the salty sea air
We would breathe with great care.
When the day turned to night,
We could scoop up the stars
Up in nets, in our boats,
Pour them into glass jars,
Every night we could sleep
Beside stars that we keep,
Oh, how we would weep
As their blinking grew deep.
