Favorite Quote:
I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. ~Marilyn Monroe

Words
Flowing
Springing
Listen
Close

Words

Anger
Hate
Pain
Misery
Love

Lies?

How much can we
believe?

Do words state our
feelings?

Our
Wants
Wishes

Lives?
Love?
Lies

When we talk
Do people
Listen?
Or are our words
mspireectepd
-mispercepted-

Flower turns to Grass
Wast turns too Bee
Piano tooo
Horn toooo
Drum tooooo
Guitar toooooo

Lies are bad
We're taught as children
As we
Grow
Our per cept ion
Shrinks

The world
Small and lone. Some.
Our homes
Quiet and well known.

We fall in love with
Poetry
A book
A problem.
Ourselves
And others.

People change and
Grow further.
We feel
small and
Insignificant.

Our mouths
STRETCH
For the right word.
But the wrong one always
Slips?
Out.

Look back.
Our pencils slide across
Writing our thoughts

Are these
Slip ups
Not really
Slip ups?

Do words
Really mean
Words?

Slide your
Tongue
Across the backside of your
Teeth

Do you feel
Every Tooth?
Can you taste
Every
Word?

I wrote this originally as a slam poetry poem but it sounded better in ink than in voice.
