Will This Way Get Through To You?!
You speak to me with blurred words,
You aren’t open to the truth.
I keep trying to teach you
And you make a different move.
You could make such an effect
If you just chose to rule your life.
Instead of letting others dictate
Who you are, it causes strife.
Don’t you understand
You have potential to be great?
You have friends in powerful places
Who need God’s love to put them straight.
But instead you think you’re cooler
When you’re swearing ‘stead of talking fate.
I want to care and help you
But you make it way too hard.
When I think you’re making progress
You just let yourself fall apart.
So next time you want words of wisdom
A shoulder to cry on
Remember I can’t help you
Unless you use God’s power
(Instead of yours)
To be strong
