little black dress
she’s the kind of girl
you find: legs dangling over
a ledge so tall, it calls itself pretentious
‘cause it towers over the rest of us
i think that she’s beautiful,
not ‘cause she’s out there or
alive (she’s not trying to die -
just finding something addictive in the air)
it’s because
i
cannot
f---ing
feel.
her legs look longer
because she’s
looking at heaven on a ledge,
with a drop down to hell
if she shifts an inch forward.
i’m in love.
she’s so far away.
she, is
just
there.
and i’m just here.
our lives are parallel
& shall never intersect. (ain’t that a
shame?)
