I have new work coming out every week. Yaay.

Came back from the war
Kissed the wife, she tried to take off my baseball cap
But I didn't want her to see the bullet wound in my head
So I bit that ear and made her giggle like a school girl
I went inside for breakfast and told that son of mine
You're nine years old now, you can make your own milk
Now get up and get that cereal from the fridge
Blank stares greeted me, along with awkward silence
Like being in 'Nam hunkered down low in the grass
Avoiding Vietcong snipers, and suicidal foot soldiers
Like crawling on hands and knees to avoid being seen
By a twisted gang of patriotic civilians
It was a lot like being on that ground
And having to let out a large fart with everyone around
Nobody would move, but everyone would look at you
The wife told Bobby to make his breakfast
I stood up after reading the newspaper
Told that son of mine to sink dishes wash spit shine clean
Spat on my plate before cleaning it mighty good
But he just stared like a deer in headlights
I walked outside, and jammed my crusty hands in my pockets
Looked into that bright American sky that I didn't know how much I cared for
Took in a deep breath and then blew it out with a sigh
It was gonna be hell finding a job
