A tall, tired young man
stands in the rain with
an old anger in his eyes
an anger passed down
through the generations
until no one can remember
the start
His lips are twisted into
a scowl
There are grey hairs
along his temple
and a quiet rage in
the way he holds himself
a restlessness that
cannot be overlooked
while he stands in the rain
not quite so tall as we
first thought
maybe a little more tired
than we initially viewed
him to be
the young man
who slouches in the rain
with an extinguished
fury in his eyes
