My Own Worst Enemy
I am my own worst enemy.

 My thoughts they race and

 Torment me

With could have beens and what could be

And all that seems to smother me.

I am my own worst enemy.

To myself I will not lie

For my own mistakes and slip ups

 I lie awake and cry.

I am my own worst enemy.

I judge myself on most days

This invisible bar I must raise

I'm caught up in a foggy haze

Of sadness, darkness, and more cliches.

I am my own worst enemy.

 This, I know is true

 For I'm the one who

 Ruined us

And now I have lost you.
