They say words can't hurt,
they say we let people hurt us.
They say we're stupid to do this.
They say we can't hold onto the past.
They say we're useless.
They say we'll never become anything.
They're wrong.
They say we're foolish.
They say we'll regret this.
They say we aren't listening.
They say we are hopeless.
They say we're cowards.
I say they're wrong.
If you've been told these things,
remember,
they're the fools.
For not seeing how deep their words hurt.
