Writer's Block
You can’t make something,
When starting with nothing.
When there is no inspiration,
That’s a big indication.
When words never sound right,
Covering the page with an ugly sight,
You start to feel lost.
Desperate no matter what the cost.
You need something to write,
It’s becoming too big a fight.
Your brain feels numb,
Your heart playing dumb.
Writer’s block…
Playing along with the tick-tock…
The clock counts the minutes,
Testing your limits.
How much longer?
How much more somber?
You force yourself to write crap,
Stuff you soon will scrap.
The need for ideas…
Will you lend me some, my dears?
