Plan for the worst and hope for the best
Heres a riddle:
It is what it is
but it can't be what it already has been
and couldn't have been what it will be.
What is it?

It has been too long
since I have danced under the moon,
spinning in a throng.
Since I have raised my voice
to the skies, so high, so high
it has been too long,
since I had a choice.
I have been caged, locked away,
alone in an empty place.
My life has begun to fray.
Someone help me!
Someone save me!
Someone hold me and heart me,
and ignore my crazy.
It has been too long, too long
since I have drawn my heart
onto a sheet of paper,
and now I part,
with you, my reader, and hope,
You never lose your freedom,
your spark, your light that is bright, even in the dark.

The author's comments:
This is something I created on the spot, and sometimes I really feel this way, so caged and hiddden. It is also about how you feel when you have lost something or someone dear to you, like your parent's, or friend's trust. This is to anyone who feels like a shadow of their potential and anyone who has lost the trust or love of someone you care for.
